1. Adult Christian Formation Options

 
On Thursday, August 12, at 7:00 p.m., there will be an open Adult Christian Formation meeting in the Parish Hall. Everyone is welcome to attend this meeting. In order to prepare for this meeting and for the upcoming program year, we would like as much input as possible from the wider St. John's congregation. Thank you!

1. Chaplain Jeffrey Deutsch, with Pastor Teresa Danieley, will lead a 10 week course called "To Travel Together" this Fall, on Sundays from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. This course is for people interested in confirmation, baptism, or reception into the Episcopal Church, or reaffirmation of baptismal vows. The dates of "To Travel Together" for this fall will be October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, November 7, 14, 21, 28, and December 5. Do you plan to participate in "To Travel Together" this Fall?

2. If you are not planning to participate in "To Travel Together" this Fall, please rate the following Sunday Morning Adult Formation Curricula by order of preference from 1 (highest) to 5 (lowest). Note: Other Adult Formation Curricula will be offered this Fall, while "To Travel Together" is going on.

Meditative Prayer (Series on Different Styles of Prayer)

3. "A Week of Guided Prayer: Retreat in Everyday Life" will be offered at St. John's starting with a group session on Sunday, November 28, at 2 p.m. and ending with a group session on Saturday, December 4, at 11:00 a.m. More information may be found at www.weekofguidedprayer.org. Do you plan to participate in this free Advent program?
