List your '10 BIG ASKS' for any Government that comes into power in the next few weeks.
An estimated 83,000 people are living with HIV in the UK (2009), approximately 25,000 of them are African. The network of friends, families and communities that are affected is even greater. The UK Government is about to go through a general election as we start to experience acute reduction in public spending. This will affect spending on HIV and sexual health. It is important that your voices and views influence the next Government's policy on the health and wellbeing of African communities in the UK.
The African HIV Policy Network (AHPN) recognise that the voices of communities will play a crucial role in determining their welfare and ensuring that people's needs are met.
We will summarise the top '10 BIG ASKS' and submit to existing and potential parliamentarians, community based organisations, policy makers and other stakeholders.
