2 PDH - Course # PS003494

This presentation is an introduction to our new SaniTite HP (High Performance) polypropylene dual- and triple-wall pipe for gravity sanitary sewer application. Polypropylene is a more-rigid, higher-impact-resistant plastic material than our standard HDPE, which leads to greater beam strength, stronger/stiffer air- and water-tight joints, with minimal deflection. In addition, it is more abrasive-resistant and economical than PVC, and is not brittle – see pictures of HP above. Furthermore, it either meets or exceeds ASTM standards with regards to manufacturing, material properties, installation, lab and field air and water testing, impact resistance, and pipe stiffness.

The presentation begins at the molecular level of polypropylene, and takes the audience on a journey through design, manufacturing, testing and the application of SaniTite HP pipe. Emphasis will be placed on important details such as fittings options, during- and post-construction repair methods, service lateral connections, and manhole/structure connections.
