Smoke-Free Multi-Housing Workshop: May 30-31, 2012
The Live Smoke Free program at the Association for Nonsmokers--Minnesota and the Public Health Law Center are hosting a Smoke-Free Multi-Unit Housing workshop for Communities Putting Prevention to Work (CPPW) grantees and others who'd like to learn how to develop a smoke-free multi-unit housing program in their community. It will include training segments on "Understanding the Need for Smoke-Free Multi-Unit Housing" and "Working Toward Smoke-Free Multi-Unit Housing Policy Adoption.” This workshop is made possible with funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The workshop will be held on May 30-31, 2012, at the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. There is no cost for attending; however, attendees must cover all travel-related expenses. The workshop will feature guest speakers from the tobacco control field, the multi-housing industry, and the area of landlord-tenant law, as well as comprehensive training materials.
