Downtown Master Plan Objectives

 
The City of Roseburg would like citizens to provide input regarding the priority of potential projects for the downtown area.

Your vote will help City officials decide how to utilize funding in order to make the downtown a better place for all to enjoy.

1. Construct streetscape improvements throughout the downtown area, to include:
- entry portals, street lighting, street furniture, new sidewalks, curbs/gutters, sidewalk ramps, tree grates and crosswalks

2. Form a partnership with local banks to offer low-cost financing for façade improvements to downtown buildings and other private redevelopment.

3. Where necessary and appropriate, acquire properties for redevelopment by the private sector.

4. Develop a centrally located public open space / Town Square in the Downtown.

5. Install a clock tower, obelisk, "Blast" monument, or other unique feature at an entrance to the Downtown.

6. In partnership with the utility company, jointly foster a method to underground utilities on Main Street.

7. Place a brick veneer on the exterior of the parking structure and/or add plant materials that climb on the exterior, and add emergency phones and exterior lighting to Overpark Garage.

8. Alter the intersection of Stephens and Douglas to provide left turns onto Douglas Avenue from the southbound left lane of Stephens Street.
