Looking to gain nonprofit leadership experience? Want to contribute to strengthening the Twin Cities nonprofit sector? Interested in being a part of a national movement of young nonprofit professionals?

YNPN Twin Cities is a chapter of the national Young Nonprofit Professionals Network. Our mission is to support, educate and connect young leaders in the nonprofit sector by leveraging resources, providing access to professional development, and building a peer network.

YNPN Twin Cities' vision is that we aspire to transform the nonprofit sector into a dynamic intergenerational community that welcomes, connects, and empowers all those committed to a just society.

Our board of directors is a working, all-volunteer board. We are not an incorporated organization at this time, but are considering pursuing incorporation. We are currently seeking board members committed to serving 2 year terms beginning in January 2010, and are particularly seeking skills in:

--> Governance/Organizational Development
--> Program Development, Management and Evaluation
--> Facilitation
--> Project Management
--> Marketing/Communications
--> Event planning
--> Finance/Accounting

Joining our board helps develop your leadership skills and build your connections regionally and nationally. As a part of the board, you will be expected to attend monthly board and committee meetings, participate in online decision making and discussion, and attend monthly happy hours and educational programming events. You can expect to contribute between 10 and 15 hours a month to your duties as a board member.
