2. The Sherwood Middle School staff responds appropriately and in a timely manner to the social, emotional, and academic needs of the students.

3. SMS students understand the importance of the school's core values of respect, responsibility, honesty, and perseverance.

4. My child(ren) is actively engaged in her/his learning and demonstrates understanding of the grade level curriculum.

5. My child(ren) is regularly assessed in all content areas and is provided with clear, concise, timely, and thorough feedback from her/his teachers.

6. Homework assignments are meaningful, appropriate, and connected to the grade level curriculum.

7. My child feels positive about her/his SMS school experience and feels prepared to transition to the next grade.

8. Faculty members at SMS model the school's core values and maintain a positive attitude toward teaching and learning.
