Registration - Secondary Programmes, YE Trust 2012
Welcome
Thanks for visiting the Registration site for all Young Enterprise Trust Secondary School programmes. You can register for any of our secondary programmes here, and it should only take you a few minutes.
We offer seven programmes to secondary students:
1. Enterprise Studies
- Years 9-10
- Students plan, carry out and review an enterprising business activity which concludes with an exciting market day.
2. BP Community Enterprise Project
- Year 9-10
- Students identify a capital project they can do for a local community organisation and compete for up to $1,000 funding from BP.
- Competition entries close on 28 September 2012
3. DairyNZ Challenge
- Year 10
- A 4-6 week career-based marketing challenge
- Teacher PD will be early in Term 2
- Competition entries close on November 16, 2012.
4. Young Enterprise Start-Up Programme
- Year 10 or 11 (level 1)
- A new one-semester enterprise programme
- Can be used to deliver and assess Business Studies Achievement Standards AS 90840 (1.4) and AS 90842 (1.6)
- Available from start of Term 2, 2012.
5. BP Innovation Competition
- Year 10-11
- Students undertake a business activity that demonstrates innovation within the competition criteria
- Competition entries close on 2 November 2012
6. Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme
- Years 12-13
- $35 per student, no company fee
- Starts with E-day early in Term 1
- Ends with National Awards on Dec 5, 2012
- Can be used to deliver Business Studies Achievement Standards, the YE Certificate or NZIM paper 836.
7. Financial Education
- Years 9-13
- Comprehensive teaching lessons and learning packages for Personal Financial Management (PFM) Unit Standards
- Exciting interactive board games and resources also available.
When completing the registration for most of these programmes, you will only need to enter the number of students in your class.
If you are registering for the Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme, you will need to enter your details first, and then you will be prompted for student details (name, email, phone number, ethnicity). If you do not have all student details confirmed at this stage, you can register as a teacher now, and then enter all student and company details at a later stage. A link will be sent to you so you can re-enter the site and add the student information. (Please note: Company and Student details must be confirmed before end of Term 1).
