2010 Religious Exploration Survey

Religious Exploration at First Parish in Brookline

Hello church friends!

Last year the Religious Exploration Committee sent a survey to parents and teachers to get a glimpse of the experience of children, parents, and teachers in their classrooms. The information collected was very useful to being a live conversation about what engages us and how we might focus our energies to deepen the experience for all. Ninety-two percent of all parents expressed that the primary reason that they bring their child into our church community is for spiritual and religious development.

Religious exploration is interwoven in all aspects of our church life. Whether in the classroom, the sanctuary, in the hallway or at a church gathering, intergenerational relationships through understanding and embracing all aspects of religious exploration creates a rich and meaningful experience.

We are using this survey tool again to broaden, and deepen, the conversation to include all adults in our community in hopes of capturing a shared vision for that spiritual and religious life. Please take a moment to share your perspective!

In faith,
The Religious Exploration Committee
