City of Miles City Public Utilities Questionnaire

1. Default Section

The City of Miles City Public Utilities Department safely converts water from the Yellowstone River into the public drinking water supply through treatment, delivering it to ratepayers within the city limits and to CCWSD #2 ratepayers on the city outskirts through a water distribution network.

In addition, Public Utilities collects wastewater from those same ratepayers through lift stations and another pipeline network and treats it to EPA and DEQ standards before releasing effluent back into the river.

The department operates as an "enterprise" fund that is supported solely from subscription revenue generated by ratepayers using the services rather than taxpayers.

The purpose of this survey is inform you of the fundamental responsibilities of the department and to learn of ways that the department might better serve you, the ratepayers of Miles City.

We highly value your participation. Thank you.
