EFR211 Cultural Respect and Negotiation: Native Americans and Environmental Stewardship

 
The learning objectives for this session were:
1. Audience members will learn practical meeting and organizational strategies for tribal consulatikon and involvment.
2. Tribal audience members will better understand the motivations behind federal agency requests for consulation.
3. The panelists will promote cultural understanding and respect in a way that facilitaes project and/or crisis resolution as regards environmental stewardship.
4. Historic preservation audience members will be given two separate examples of agency consultation with Native groups in the forms of Memorandum of Understandings and National Planning Rules.
