The National Skills Academy and Skills Active Group are developing an application to the Higher Apprenticeships Fund (HAF) to support the development of Management/Leadership and Technical qualifications in our sector, in partnership with other parties, including training providers and employers. This application needs to be based on evidence of employer demand.
We would appreciate a few minutes of your time to complete this short survey to inform this application. The closing date for this survey is 15th September 2011.
Higher Apprenticeships at level 4 / 5 offer a valuable alternative for the recruitment and development of highly-skilled employees, especially at managerial level, and offers the opportunity to work while gaining the knowledge and skills needed to do the job. The fund will support the development of Higher Apprenticeship programmes in playwork, creating more opportunities for playworkers to train and allowing employers to reap the benefits of supporting the work-based learning and development of their staff, including increased staff retention and motivation, reduced recruitment costs, improved leadership and management, thereby boosting business performance.
The HAF has been designed to focus on progression from Advanced Level Apprenticeships that are based on employer demand, involve education and business partnerships and are accessible to all, including those employed by small businesses.
Any information given as part of this survey will remain confidential and will only be used by National Skills Academy / the Skills Active Group and our bidding partners for the purpose of informing this application.
