The City's budget is a financial plan that focuses on community priorities and is set by City Council. Like other localities across the state, the City of Martinsville is facing budget challenges brought on by a significant economic recession. Financial forecasts reflect a revenue shortfall of over $2 million for the 2010-11 fiscal year, which starts July 1, 2010 and ends June 30, 2011.
City Council and staff greatly appreciate your input which will provide important assistance in the development of the City's upcoming annual budget. Please complete all of the following questions.
Sincerely,
Clarence Monday, City Manager
