The Stroud Monastery is about 50 kms north west of Newcastle on the road to Gloucester. It is in a bush setting on the outskirts of the village of Stroud. It is a mud-brick building built by a contemplative order of nuns in the 1970’s/80’s that creates a wonderful atmosphere in which to practice sesshin. It is about 2.5 hours drive north from Sydney. Car pooling can be arranged for those needing a lift.

9. Part Time Attendance: There will be a LIMITED number of Part Time Places available. Part time students must attend for an unbroken period of at least two full days commencing on Sunday 4 April. The part time option is available for those who cannot attend for the whole week due to health reasons, parental or carer responsibilities etc. It is also an option for those with no prior Sesshin experience.
