Birds and Bees and Enrichment Programs

1. The Cedar Way PTO has an opportunity to bring an evening class on sex education to the parents/guardians. This seminar The Birds+Bees+Kids is taught by Amy Lang. She is an expert on how and when to talk to our children about this tough subject. Did you know that sex education is not taught in elementary school? It is up to us, the parents/guardians, to educate our children. Is this a class you'd want to attend?

2. If this class interests you, which evening would work best for you?

3. To bring down costs for this class would you be opposed to inviting other schools in the area to attend?

4. The PTO is considering offering after-school enrichment classes in the new year. What types of classes would your student(s) be interested in taking?

5. Classes will run 6-8 weeks (depends upon the vendor offering the class) and could be offered once or twice a week. What would you prefer?

6. Class fees will run from $40 - $80 depending upon the class (languages cost the most). Knowing the potential costs, would you still be willing to have your student(s) participate in after-school enrichment programs?

7. Do you have any other ideas on information sessions for parents/families or classes for students that the PTO should offer?
