ABLS Trial Examination on Laser Biophysics, Tissue Interaction & Safety

This is the online answer form for the ABLS Trial Exam on Laser Biophysics, Tissue Interaction and Safety. There are a total of 10 knowledge questions.
This short exam is designed for visitors to test their knowledge against a few sample critical questions that the Board believes laser practitioners should know in order to maximize efficacy and safety in their practice. To the extent you are unsure of the answers to these questions, then the Board suggests consideration of the certification process and becoming a Diplomate.
Question 1 captures your contact information - name, location and email, but not street address or phone number. We will contact you only by email relative to this survey. Your results will be kept confidential.
You must answer the next 6 knowledge questions (Questions 2 through 7) and may not skip any, otherwise the test will prompt you to return to any unanswered question. Questions 2 through 5 relate to the processes of laser biophysics, tissue interaction and power density. Questions 6 and 7 relate to two key aspects of laser safety.
Questions 8 through 11 are optional and are for practitioners of laser cosmetic surgery. If you are of another discipline, please skip these, otherwise please answer these as well.
Question 12 is also optional and asks how you think you did and for any comments you may have.
When you have answered the questions, the Board will email you with your score. There are a total of 39 points for Questions 2 through 7, and all 10 knowledge questions total 48 points. A score indicating a solid understanding would be 85% of all possible points.
If you wish to pause and log out during the trial exam, you must do so by clicking "Exit the Survey" at the top right of any page. Do not simply "X" out of your browser. When you log on again, you will be able to begin where you left off and your answers will be saved AT THE LAST FULLY COMPLETED PAGE. There are two pages of questions, one for Questions 1 through 6, and a second for Questions 7 through 10. ANY ANSWERS ON A PAGE THAT IS ONLY PARTIALLY COMPLETED WILL NOT BE SAVED.
