To receive the designation CTOS Signatory, you and/or your company must affirm your support for at least seven of the criteria listed below. Please indicate which of the following criteria you support. 1. READ DB – A product should make available all relevant data contained in the database to be considered for this requirement. Relevant data would be any data that does not deal with system internals. Examples of relevant data are debtor information, payment histories and placement information. A product should be able to communicate with standard reporting tools and queries.

2. WRITE DB – A product should make available the ability to write to individual fields in the database to be considered for this requirement. Queries containing common tasks I.E. UPDATE and INSERT type statements should be permissible.

3. DOCUMENTED SCHEMA – A product should make available to customers a fully documented database schema.

4. ESCROWED SOURCE CODE – A product/vendor should hold all source code for the product in escrow with a reputable service.

5. DOCUMENTED APIs – A product should provide detailed documentation on the use and implementation of any programming interfaces available to users for the purpose of creating add-on functionality. Such documentation should supply detailed understanding and reasonable usefulness to a person with developer-level technical knowledge.

6.VIEW/EDIT SOURCE CODE – All source code for a product should be available to users and editable for use in a production environment.

7. REDISTRIBUTE SOURCE CODE – Users should have the ability to redistribute source code for the application, which includes any modifications made to the source.

8. DATA TRANSFER – A product should have the ability to import and export all user-entered data by means of a generally accepted transfer protocol (i.e., XML, CSV, etc).

9. LOOSE INTEGRATION OF ADD-ON FUNCTIONALITY – A product should provide a method to pass data to and from external programs or tools.

10. INTEGRATION SPECIFICATIONS – A product should make available to users documented specifications for creating functionality, which would become part of the original application. This add-on functionality should be indistinguishable from the core product.
