1. Westwood Lacrosse JV Trip to Aggieland Tournament Feb 13-14, 2010

 
Parents of JV Westwood Lacrosse Players:

The JV team will be playing in the Aggieland Lacrosse Tournament on February 13th and 14th in College Station Texas. We will probably play 2 games on Saturday and either 1 or 2 games on Sunday. Coaches expect all eligible JV players to participate. As in the past, our club will try to coordinate transportation and hotel rooms for all players if requested via this survey. We are planning on traveling to College Station early on Saturday morning(2-13). We have selected a team hotel for Saturday evening. Please complete the attached survey no later than Monday, January 4th to let us know if your son plans to participate and if you plan to attend.

If you are going to College Station, your son has the option of staying with you, or staying in one of the designated “player rooms” which will have 3 boys in each room (1 King bed shared and 1 queen sofabed. We have selected Comfort Suites as our team hotel for the weekend which is located at 2313 Texas Avenue in College Station. The cost for each player staying in a player room is $40 for Saturday night. The team already has reservations for the player rooms. If your son opts to stay in one of the "player rooms" you DO NOT need to contact the hotel to reserve his room spot. If you plan to book a room for you and/or for your family, you will need to call the hotel directly at (979) 680-9000. Please request the Westwood Lacrosse Parent's room rate ($99 plus tax) when you call.

If your son opts to stay in one of our reserved player rooms, you have 2 payment options.
Option 1 = mail your $40 payment to our Club PO Box.
Option 2 = select the pay by credit card and we will send you an electronic invoice.

Since we also need to plan transportation for your son if you are not going to the tournament, please indicate on the attached survey if your son will need a ride to and/or from College Station. Also, if you are going to the tournament, please let us know if you can provide transportation for other players. Based on past experience, we WILL need a number of parent volunteers to provide transportation for the players who do not have a parent going to the tournament.

Breakfast for Sunday morning will be provided by the hotel. Players will need to bring cash for Saturday night's meal and also for lunch on both days. 2. Does your son plan on participating in the Aggieland tournament the weekend of February 13-14?

3. Do you or your spouse plan on driving your son to the tournament in College Station?

4. Based on past experience, we WILL NEED parent volunteers to offer to provide transportation for players who do not have a parent going to the tournament. Are you willing to provide transportation for other players to College Station and back to Austin on Sunday afternoon? If yes, please indicate how many additional players you can take in addition to your family.

5. Parents can opt to have their son stay in one of our "designated player rooms" with 2 other players or you can elect to have your son stay in your room if you are planning on attending the tournament. Parents can also opt to contact another parent on our team to arrange for your son to stay with their family if they are reserving a family room at the team's hotel. For players who elect to be assigned to one of our "designated player rooms," we will assign players to rooms. We can not guarantee roommate requests. Please select a hotel room option for your son.

6. Although parents who plan to attend the tournament and plan to stay at the Comfort hotel MUST contact the hotel directly to reserve your room, please let us know your plans.

7. We are still looking for a volunteer coordinator for the JV team. Please let us know if you would be interested in volunteering for this role. (Since the hotel is already selected and this survey is already started, part of your work is already completed)
