QUESTIONNAIRE:

Labour market position of (highly) qualified immigrants

Why complete this questionnaire?

The ‘Huizen van het Nederlands’ (Houses of Dutch), ‘VDAB’ (Flemish Employment and Training Service) and ‘NARIC-Vlaanderen’ (National Academic Recognition Information Centre-Flanders) cooperate with this doctoral research supervised by professor Timmerman and professor Mortelmans. This research is important because there is little information on the position of (highly) qualified immigrants on the labour market, the development of their career and their desires with respect to training and employment. Some immigrants probably have no problems at all and others experience many problems to find a job in Belgium that corresponds to their diploma, work experience or interest. In this context, we ask you to complete this questionnaire. All answers will be processed anonymously. The information will not be used for any other purpose than this scientific and policy-relevant research.

This questionnaire is completed preferably in Dutch, French or English, but you may also use another language.

We ask questions about your school and professional careers (in Belgium as well as abroad), your expectations, level of satisfaction and feelings of discrimination. It may be handy to take your CV (Curriculum Vitae).

YOUR COOPERATION IS IMPORTANT for this research!! Please return the completed questionnaire within 2 weeks to your Dutch teacher (or send it by post). THANK YOU VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP!!

You can win one of the fifty € 20 gift vouchers by participating in this survey!
