Walk Leader's Checklist Consultation
Introduction
In August 2009, a new version of the Walk Leader’s checklist was published – an A5 laminated card for Leaders to carry and to act as an aide memoire.
The revamped version included a new section on basic first aid and what to do in an incident. This was introduced in response to requests from Groups who had experienced serious incidents and who wanted some advice, that they could take with them on walks, that outlined how to react.
The checklist has proved popular with over 6000 having been requested. The Ramblers is committed to improving the checklist whilst exploring the possibility of introducing a co-ordinated training programme. For more information see Led Walks - The Way Ahead.
