Washington County, the City of Beaverton, and the City of Hillsboro all receive federal funds from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The funding we receive from HUD may be used for a variety of housing and community development projects that benefit low or moderate income people (for example if a household of 4 people makes less than $58,400/year, their household would be considered low or moderate income).

Every five years our communities are required to write a 5‐year Consolidated Plan which identifies and prioritizes our communities’ needs for improving housing, community programs, services, and infrastructure and organizes how we will target our grant funds to address those needs. This survey is one of many tools used to gather public opinions on how we should use our federal dollars in the most effective way. Staff will compare the community responses to those we gather from research and service providers. This will help provide a more detailed picture of our community needs.

The questions in this survey are multiple‐choice, so the survey should take no more than 10‐15 minutes to complete. If you experience any difficulty or have any questions, please contact Aaron Bogle at 503-526‐2425.
