Westwood Lacrosse D1 Trip to Dallas Jesuit Tournament Feb 12-13-14 2010

 
Parents of Varsity Westwood Lacrosse Players:

The Varisty team will be playing in the Dallas Jesuit Invitational Lacrosse Tournament on February 13th and 14th. We will probably play 2 games on Saturday and either 1 or 2 games on Sunday. Coaches expect all D1 players to participate. Please complete the attached survey no later than Monday, January 4th to let us know if your son plans to participate and if you plan to attend. Although we would like to encourage everyone to travel to Dallas on Friday night, you can elect to travel early on Saturday morning. Since we will not know the start time of our first game on Saturday until a few days before the tournament, you may have to leave Austin very early on Saturday to arrive in time for our first game.

If you are going to Dallas on Friday, your son has the option of staying with you, or staying in one of the designated “player rooms”. We have selected Staybridge Suites as our team hotel for the weekend. Staybridge is located at 16060 Dallas Parkway just 4 mile north of the Dallas Jesuit. The cost for each player staying in a player room is $70 for the weekend. If your son opts to stay in one of the "player rooms" you DO NOT need to contact the hotel to reserve his room spot. If you plan to book a room for you and/or for your family, you will need to call the hotel directly at 972-726-9990. Please request the Westwood Lacrosse Parent's room rate when you call. ($79 per night for 1 bedroom king suite or $59 per night for King Studio suite.) If your son opts to stay in one of our reserved player rooms, you can mail your $70 payment to our Club PO Box or select the pay by credit card and we will send you an electronic invoice.

Since we also need to plan transportation for your son if you are not going to the tournament, please indicate on the attached survey if your son will need a ride to and/or from Dallas. Also, if you are going to Dallas, please let us know if you can provide transportation for other players. Based on past experieince, we WILL need a number of parent volunteers to provide transportation for the players who do not have a parent going to the tournament.

Breakfast for Saturday and Sunday morning will be provided by Staybridge Suites. We plan to order pizza for late Friday night at the hotel. Players or parents should bring $5 cash for each pizza you order in this survey. Players will also need to bring cash for Saturday night's meal and lunch for both days. Saturday night we are tentatively planning on having dinner at BJ's (near our hotel).

3. Do you or your spouse plan on driving your son to the tournament in Dallas?

4. If you are planning on driving your son to the tournament, please indicate your travel plans below;

5. Based on past experience, we WILL NEED parent volunteers to offer to provide transportation for players who do not have a parent going to the tournament. Are you willing to provide transportation for other players to Dallas and back to Austin on Sunday afternoon? If yes, please indicate how many additional players you can take in addition to your family.

6. Parents can opt to have their son stay in one of our "designated player rooms" with 3 other players or you can elect to have your son stay in your room if you are planning on attending the tournament. Parents can also opt to contact another parent on our team to arrange for your son to stay with their family if they are reserving a family room at the team's hotel. For players who elect to be assigned to one of our "designated player rooms," we will assign players to rooms. We can not guarantee roommate requests. Please select a hotel room option for your son.

7. Although parents who plan to attend the tournament and plan to stay at the Staybridge Suites (972-726-9990) MUST contact the hotel directly to reserve your room, please let us know your plans.
