21. Do you currently possess or maintain an active security clearance?

22. Are you interested in working in a position that requires security clearance (mentally competent, no dishonorable discharges from military service, no unlawful use of a
controlled substance, and no past convictions resulting in incarceration)?

23. If offered a Fellowship, do you understand that your internship must be at least ten weeks long, and must be full time? Internships with fewer than 40 hours per week are not generally permitted.

24. Do you understand that Washington Scholars cannot guarantee that we will be able to place you in an internship in Washington this summer? If, for some reason, you do not receive an internship placement in Washington, your Fellowship offer will be rescinded.

25. If offered a Fellowship, do you agree to participate in our program even if we are unable to place you in an internship at one of your top choices?

26. Throughout your Fellowship, WSFP will be receiving regular reports from your internship host. Do you understand that, if your reports are not 100% satisfactory, you may be removed from the program and forfeit your scholarship?

27. If accepted as a Fellow, do you agree to attend all mandatory events this spring, unless excused in advance by WSFP management?

28. If accepted as a Fellow, do you agree to immediately inform us if you receive any compensation from your internship host?

Please note: The amount of compensation will be deducted from your supplemental scholarship, if you have one. In fairness to our Fellows, if you do not accurately report any compensation, you will be removed from the program.

29. Our Fellows have an excellent reputation in DC. Do you understand that, if you are offered a Fellowship, it is necessary to go "above and beyond" and protect that reputation at your internship this spring?
