Social Capital Survey Final

You are participating in a research study of entrepreneurs and the resources they use as they build their businesses.

This study is being conducted as part of my doctoral dissertation. The purpose of this study is to look at three types of entrepreneurs who are starting businesses and their success in gaining the resources needed to start and grow their businesses. The study will look at Homegrowns (area natives), Boomerang (area natives, who worked elsewhere and returned back to start the business) and Transplants (new to the area).

During this survey, you will be asked to identify some of the types of resources you have used when starting and operating your business. While many options are presented, most entrepreneurs use a select number. The study is attempting to understand which types are used more often.

The records of this study will be kept private. The online survey tool will not record information that identifies you specifically. (If you are using a paper version of the online survey, no identifying information is collected. You answers will be entered into a computer tool that does not identify you specifically. Copies will be kept secure and destroyed at the end of the study.) In any published report, no information will be included that can identify you. Research records will be kept secure and only accessed by me.

Participation in the study is voluntary.

This survey will take approximately 10 minutes of your time.
