Introduction

Thank you for your interest in the AHEAD WAM programme. The central aim of WAM is to promote access to the mainstream Irish labour market for graduates with disabilities. In order to qualify to participate in the programme, an applicant must:

• Have a disability/specific learning difficulty;
• Be currently unemployed;
• Be a graduate – to participate in WAM the minimum educational requirement is Advanced/Higher Cert or equivalent (FETAC L6). However employers may specify higher qualification level requirements for placements on offer.
• Be ready to undertake a full-time, graduate level work placement.
