The Gay, Lesbian Community Center of Baltimore ( the GLCCB) is embarking upon a strategic planning process, facilitated by independent Baltimore based consulting firm Strategic Management Consulting, LLC. As part of the information gathering stage of this work, the questions on this survey are being asked of several stakeholders. You are invited to answer this survey as well. This information gathered, and other reports and statistics, will help GLCCB make critical decisions about its direction. The goals for this phase of the process are (a) to get a sense of your vision for the LGBT community in Baltimore, and the role that the GLCCB plays in that vision and (b) to understand the internal and external perceptions of the GLCCB and (c) to understand what the GLCCB is doing right, and what the organization should be doing. Please note that your responses are completely confidential, and will be compiled into a summary with all the other information with no name attributions. Deadline for these questions to be answered is July 6, 2012. Thank You!
1. What is the relationship between you (or your organization) and the GLCCB? How does the partnership further your work or the work of your organization?
2. What is your vision for the LGBT community in Baltimore? (what do you want it to look like, be like, and be able to do in the next 5-10 years?)
3. What are the main issues that face the LGBT community in Baltimore and can you offer suggestions/solutions? What are the organizations that currently address these issues and how (to your knowledge)?
4. When you think of the GLCCB, what immediately comes to your mind?
5. What do you see as the GLCCB’s role in achieving the vision you stated above? Related to that, how do you see the GLCCB helping to meet the needs and address the issues you cited one of the previous questions?
6. How long have you worked with the GLCCB and what are your experiences, both positive and negative? Do you think the GLCCB has been effective? please give specific examples.
7. What programs, initiatives or strategies should the GLCCB continue? Add to their work? Stop doing? Improve?
8. What opportunities should the GLCCB take advantage of? What are obstacles the GLCCB should be aware of?
