SCATV is considering starting up Boston Free Radio as an independent, community-oriented radio station reaching out to the world through online streaming on the Internet. It would be operated as a commercial, not for profit Internet radio station, located at Somerville Community Access Television. Membership to have a program at the radio station would be open to anyone in the Greater Boston area and would cost $20 a year in addition to a $40 SCATV membership.
