Vineyard Power Siting Criteria Preliminary Survey

 

Welcome to the Vineyard Power Wind Farm Siting survey. Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey; it should take you 3 to 5 minutes to complete.

The purpose of this survey is assist Vineyard Power in the development of a set of criteria that will enable our coopeartive to identify a suitable location for a member-owned offshore wind farm based on preferences expressed by our members.

The initial plan is for the Vineyard Power to build approximately 17 offshore community owned wind turbines that would be commissioned around 2015. These turbines would be approximately 400 ft tall and located roughly 1/4 mile apart from each other.

We will be considering a range of possible location options in state and federal waters as indicated by the map below. The cooperative will determine the quality of each potential site according to criteria that we are developing with your input.
