INTRODUCTION
UICC considers population-based cancer registries (PBCR) and National Cancer Control Plans (NCCP) the two foundation stones of comprehensive cancer control, which is why they form the first two targets of the World Cancer Declaration. The status tables presented on the UICC website are an initial attempt to collate available information on the extent of activity and status of these two foundations for each country of the globe.
We would like to guage your interest and response to the information we have been able to gather. We also envisage asking UICC member organisations and partners to get involved and help us update this information on an ongoing basis. The following survey aims to assess the level of accuracy and/or transparency available across the globe and hopefully will provide ideas of how to improve the breadth and accuracy of the data set with time.
