Introduction
We are at the beginning of our business planning process for next year. We believe that our plans will be more effective if members are able to be involved in planning.
The six short questions in this survey are intended to generate views which will steer the direction of NAAPS, as we work alongside you through exciting and risky times. Our staff resources are very limited and we rely on input from members in everything we do. Please answer as many questions as you wish.
There are now three types of NAAPS member (Shared Lives, Homeshare, small community services) who use different approaches to achieve similar goals for people who need support:
- Ordinary lives within the families and relationships of their choice.
- People in control of their services and their lives.
- Services which are built around the person, not vice versa.
- Services which are safe, but support people to take risks.
These values bind us together. And they fit well with the current government’s priorities, which gives us an opportunity to raise the profile of members’ work. But we also all face some big challenges....
