February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month – and JWI is asking students all over the world to share their thoughts and experiences with dating relationships, both good and bad.

Please take a moment to complete this anonymous survey. Feel free to describe any of your experiences in answer to the questions below. Dating abuse is one of the most talked-about issues today, and your voice is critical to the discussion. Thank you for speaking out!

•repeated name-calling, such as ‘slut,’ ‘ugly,’ ‘fat’ or ‘stupid’

•calling and/or texting someone excessively throughout the day, and requiring that s/he ‘check in’
•publicly showing or posting private photos
•intimidation with humiliation or threats of violence
•demanding that someone do things to earn a partner’s love
•controlling how someone dresses, what s/he says and who s/he hangs out with
•taking someone away from activities and people that s/he used to enjoy
•ridiculing or dismissing someone’s feelings and concerns, so s/he becomes afraid to talk openly about them
•grabbing, smacking, shoving, punching or forcing someone to have sex
