Information gathering for the Interactive Food Heritage Portal

Thank you so much for your interest in the Virginia Food Heritage Project. Our mission is to create a greater understanding of our food heritage by documenting your local food memories and knowledge of regional customs and traditions. As we build this knowledge, we hope to create opportunities for establishing a regional food identity that can contribute to economic development, tourism, and a revival of heritage foods at our farms, homes and restaurants. We think this will not only enhance regional sustainability, but also lead to community resiliency.

To do this, we need your help: please share your knowledge about our regional food heritage!

The purpose of our survey is to give you an easy way to share your knowledge with us. This can be knowledge about a special place, food, event, resource, or a memory relating to what food heritage means to you.
