Now that the new parking kiosk have been in place for over one year OMLF would like to get your feedback on Oakland’s current parking situation. OMLF will use this survey to continue the dialogue with the City of Oakland's staff in Parking Enforcement, Transportation Services, and the Mayor's Parking Task Force in an effort to assist the city in the creation of a comprehensive parking plan for the City of Oakland.

The results of this survey will be available at the OMLF June 23, 2010 forum and on the OMLF website at www.omlf.org.

1. What type of parking spaces do you have in front or serving your business?

2. If you do NOT have parking meters or time-regulated parking, would you like to have parking meters/time-regulated parking in front of your business? (Skip this question if you do have parking meters).

3. NEW PARKING METER KIOSKS
Have you received positive feedback from customers about the new parking meter kiosks?

4. Have you received complaints from customers about the new parking meter kiosks?

5. Are parking kiosks sufficient in number on your business block?

6. Do customers find the kiosks easy to use?

7. Do you have any bike racks on your business block? If so, is the number of bike racks sufficient?

8. If additional bike parking is needed, would you be interested in using one or more car parking spaces in front of your business to create a parking for ten to twenty bicycles?

9. Did you know you can request a free bike rack from the "City Rack Program" (238-3983) to be placed on public property?

23. Some cities are using "market based" pricing, which adjusts meter rates by block or area to achieve and occupancy rate of about 85% (so there are always a few vacancies available on each block). Would you be in favor of a similar system, which could result in higher or lower rates, depending on location?
