Learn how to integrate hands-on STEM based activities into your classroom with this professional development program for middle school teachers. Explore various journaling strategies and learn how to integrate non fiction texts to create a richer learning experience for students. Participants will explore how to help students set up investigations and practice problem solving. By the end of this institute participants will cover various techniques to help them successfully teach a well rounded science curriculm, regardless of the topic. The STEM institute meets over four days which totals 30 hours of participant time. Participants will receive a $250 stipend at the end of the institute.
