Utah Library Association Annual Conference 2011
Thank you for your interest in the Utah Library Association Annual Conference to be held May 11-13, 2011, in Layton, Utah. The theme of the conference is "Utah Libraries: At the Core of Our Communities" and we invite proposals for speakers, workshops, panels, new ideas forums, pre-conferences and poster sessions that will be of interest to all types of libraries. We will accept proposals until midnight on Sunday, October 31, 2010.
You may complete a proposal for one of the following types of programs:
Pre-Conference (half day or full day)--provides a more in-depth learning environment which may include a variety of instructional menthods.
Speaker session (1 or 2 hour)--a lecture-style presentation involving one or more speakers.
Workshop (1 or 2 hour)--workshops engage attendees in hands-on experiences.
Paper Presentation/Panel Speaker (15-30 minutes)--share a paper or idea as part of a panel.
New ideas forum --forum presenters will have 10 minutes to present a new idea, best practice, or innovative project. Several ideas will be presented in a single forum with time for audience questions and discussion.
Poster session --poster presenters will be assigned an hour time slot on either Thursday or Friday to attend their posters. Interactive posters are highly encouraged.
We encourage proposals on any aspect of libraries and library services, especially those that reflect the conference theme.
