Greetings and Hello,
I am pleased to announce, Franciscan Monastery Garden Guild is partnering with Casey Trees this fall to add 30 trees to grounds of the Franciscan Monastery. Casey Trees provides the trees, tools and technical assistance free of charge through its Community Tree Planting program.
As you may know, trees provide a number of environmental, social, communal and economic benefits such as cleaner water, cooling shade, lower utility bills and reduced stress. We are eager to green the grounds of the Franciscan Monastery with trees and hope you will consider volunteering the day of the planting. No prior experience is required. Everyone can play a role whether it is digging, watering or cheering. Volunteers are treated to a celebratory lunch immediately following the planting.
The event details are:
Saturday December 10
9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
