CAMBRIDGE ENGLISH TKT COMPETITION 2012
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. This competition is only open to individuals over 18 years of age who are English language teachers, who have taken a TKT exam in the period of 1 April 2012 to 30 June 2012 and who do not speak English as their first language.
2. Entrants must have at least an intermediate level of English (Common European Framework level B2) e.g. they can:
• follow or give a talk on a familiar topic or keep up a conversation on a fairly wide range of topics;
• scan texts for relevant information, and understand detailed instructions or advice; and
• make notes while someone is talking or write a letter including non-standard requests.
3. This competition will begin on Sunday 1 April 2012 and end at midnight GMT on Saturday 30 June 2012. All entries must be received by midnight GMT on Saturday 30 June 2012.
4. To make a valid entry, entrants must have completed all sections of the online entry form and completed Q13 in no more than 200 words. Incomplete entries and entries exceeding the 200 word limit for Q13 will not be accepted.
5. Only one entry will be accepted per person. The entry must be the original work of the entrant.
6. Winners will be chosen within 7 days of the closing date.
7. If a winner cannot be contacted within 7 days of the closing date their prize shall be forfeit and we will choose a replacement winning entry.
8. Only winning entrants will be contacted.
9. There are two first prize packages comprising of a two-week residential course at Bell Teacher Campus in Cambridge, United Kingdom from 12 August to 25 August 2012 including accommodation, daily breakfast and weekday evening meals, but excluding lunch and any social programme or other optional activities. The prize packages also include return economy class flights to and from the UK, airport transfers within the UK and £200 GBP meal allowance for lunches and weekend meals.
10. The two first prize packages shall be subject to the standard terms and conditions for the Bell Teacher Campus residential courses.

• Availability of a Bell course will depend on student numbers
• Availability of a Bell course will depend on the competition winner’s level of English.

11. Winners: by submitting your entry you agree, if selected as a winner, to participate in all publicity reasonably requested by Cambridge ESOL, including without limitation press, print and online publicity including publication of both your name and photo. You also agree to participate in a filmed interview whilst in Cambridge, which may be used on public websites and other media.
All entrants: by submitting your entry you irrevocably and unconditionally waive all rights under Chapter IV of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. Cambridge ESOL may use all entry ideas on any media, including printed and on websites, with or without including the entrant’s name.
12. Cambridge ESOL reserves the right to contact all competition participants for future marketing purposes using contact details submitted, unless participant specifically requests otherwise.
13. Cambridge ESOL cannot and do not guarantee the winners will have or be able to obtain an entry permit to the United Kingdom for the purpose of attending the course.
14. Cambridge ESOL will not provide any insurance cover for the winners, including without limitation travel insurance. The winners will be solely responsible for obtaining any insurance cover they require at their own cost.
