Deinstitutionalization/Transition/Olmstead
1. CFILC & WCIL Partnership
The California Foundation for Independent Living (CFILC) and the Westside Center for Independent Living (WCIL) have partnered through a grant from the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) to help ILCs develop programs, capabilities, and revenue to support the provision of transition services to people currently residing in nursing homes. This partnership between CFILC and WCIL will help your agency explore these opportunities.
WCIL has hired Ed Ahern as Statewide Olmstead Training Coordinator. Ed is available to all centers regardless of where they are in the process of transition services. Whether you’re considering a program or already ‘up and running,’ there’s technical assistance for you. Ed can be reached at 310-390-3611 x239 or via email at ed@wcil.org.
