1. Ticket to Work – Application- INTRO
About the Ticket to Work
The Ticket to Work program is employment program run by the Social Security Administration. It is voluntary for both the beneficiary as well as the provider agency. Following the awarding of SSA benefits, a Ticket is sent in the mail. The Ticket can be assigned to an “Employment Network” to obtain employment services that help the interested beneficiaries get and keep a job. An “Employment Network” is a service provider approved by SSA to work with Ticket Holders. Employment Networks only get paid by SSA after a beneficiary becomes employed and begins earning wages at national benchmarks over a period of time.
In addition, A Ticket Holder can seek services from the state vocational rehabilitation program, and following successful completion, take the Ticket to an EN for supports to maintain and advance in employment.
