1. About the Master's programme

The University of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh have launched a new part-time, online postgraduate programme, leading to the degree of ChM (Urology). Both institutions have combined well previously to deliver a Master’s programme to support early surgical training (MSc in Surgical Sciences/Edinburgh Surgical Sciences Qualification (ESSQ), click here), and most recently the ChM in General Surgery for advanced surgical trainees (click here), which launched in 2011, and both institutions continue to serve as a powerful brand in surgery.

The Master of Surgery (ChM) programme is intended to support the advanced urology trainee through the curriculum which leads to the intercollegiate FRCS (Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons) examination in Great Britain and Ireland and recognise their subspecialty interest.
