Torture Awareness Month - 2012

Thank you for sharing with the National Religious Campaign Against Torture how you and your congregation/organization will participate in Torture Awareness Month activities during June 2012.

We have established a rich menu of activities that you might choose to do. We don't expect that you will try to do all of them!

If you have any photos of your activities that you would like to share, we would be eager to post them on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/nrcat). Please send photos to campaign@nrcat.org.

If you have any problems with this form or any questions about Torture Awareness Month activities, please contact John Humphries at jhumphries@nrcat.org or 860-216-7972.
1.Please tell us who you are.(Required.)
2.US-sponsored torture - Please tell us which of the following activities you will undertake in June (check all that apply):
3.Solitary Confinement and Anti-Muslim Bigotry - Please tell us which of the following activities you will undertake in June (check all that apply):
4.Indefinite Detention - Tell us how you plan to advocate for repealing the indefinite detention provisions of the National Defense authorization act:
5.NRCAT is publishing a list of local events on our website (www.nrcat.org/TAMevents). These are primarily events that are open to the general public (rather than an adult study session within a congregation, e.g.).

Would you like for us to consider listing your event on that page?
6.Use this space to let us know if you have any questions or concerns or if you have specific requests for how NRCAT might support your local organizing.
Thank you for helping to end U.S.-sponsored torture by finding ways to raise awareness in your community and to be visible and vocal in proclaiming that torture is always wrong and never justified.
