. "I have developed a fitness program for people living with chronic illness and chronic pain to help decrease pain, increase energy, and improve quality of life. The program incorporates joint-friendly and muscle-friendly aerobic and weight-lifting exercise based on principals of mechanical engineering. I designed the program for myself, to help me become healthy and achieve normalcy from my lupus, debilitating pain, and 2.5 years of chemotherapy. The program has helped me become fit, strong, and able to carry out life's everyday tasks with energy. The program is designed to help people look good, feel better, and be trim, strong, and FIT. It is specifically designed for people with chronic pain, including pain from arthritis, and/or chronic illness such as lupus, MS, diabetes, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome. It is low-impact and modifiable, and therefore is for people of all ages and all fitness levels, including those without chronic conditions. The results are just as effective as workouts that are done at high impact. Since the exercises are doable and effective, the workouts are FUN and challenging. And, did I say, Fun! Together, participants and instructors will encourage each other to exercise and achieve health, resulting in living the lives they want. The workout can strengthen joint-supporting muscles, reduce pain, stop pain from progressing, and, as was the case for me, reverse my pain. In addition, the thorough, gentle yet effective exercises will reduce inflammation, thereby further reducing associated pain and increasing energy."
