Welcome

Thank you for your interest in completing this questionnaire.

Our names are Hugh Bastiaan, James Claridge, Ali Besiroglu, Alicia Booth, Jane Gregory, Sasha Lytas, Sam Pang, Fia Walker and Thomas Watkin. We are participants in the Just Leadership program, a program run by the Law Students’ Society of the Monash University Faculty of Law, Clayton under the Program Co-ordinator Matt Hearn. We are undertaking this program in pursuance of varied undergraduate double degrees involving a Bachelor of Laws.

The purpose of the study is to determine what the community believes to be the appropriate punishment for ‘sexting’. This will inform second study, ‘'Sexting' and the Sex Offender Register: Review and Recommendations’, which will be submitted to the Attorney General of Victoria.

You have been contacted through one of several methods. This online link has been advertised through several very large groups on Facebook and through email, notably the Law Student’s Society of Monash, the Monash Faculty of Law, the Monash University Medical Undergraduates’ Society, the Just Leadership program, and The Black Letter. This link has also been advertised through posters around Monash University Clayton Campus, Caulfied Campus, Deakin University and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

You must be over 18 years old to complete this survey.

Participation is voluntary and we encourage you to withdraw from the survey if you feel uncomfortable at any stage. Some questions request information about your own personal use of mobile phones. If you do not feel comfortable answering these questions, feel free to select ‘No comment’. *The survey is anonymous and we will not ask any identifying information like your name nor contact details*.

The raw data will be available to Student Researchers and Chief Investigator only. This data will not be used for any secondary purpose. No researcher will personally benefit from you completing the survey.
