1. Indoor Recreational Facility for Pulaski County

 
The Board of Supervisors is currently studying the possibility of an indoor recreational facility. Specifically, the Board is interested in the TMD Friction facility located in the Pulaski County Industrial Park off of Cougar Trail Road. This 140,000 s.f. building is large enough to accommodate many different functions and also allows room for expansion. It also comes with 30 acres of land with approx. 22 already graded flat. The cost to purchase and renovate this facility would potentially be less expensive than to build a new facility. The cost to operate the facility would be in the range of $500,000 - $750,000 (depending on what amenities are included). A portion or all of this cost would need to be offset by annual membership fees in order to reduce eliminate the need for property taxes to fund operations.
