Spring Into Art

1. Information

You are invited to apply to the Friends of the Nappanee Public Library Fine Art Exhibit and Sale,
April 27 - 29, 2012.

Spring Into Art . . .
celebrates the arts, promotes area artists and benefits the Library.

We offer the community a high quality art exhibit and seek fine works in a wide variety of media.

The Art Exhibit and Sale takes place at Main Street Manor, an active community center housing the Boys and Girls Club and the Elder Haus Senior Life Center. The facility offers over 8,500 sq. ft. of exhibit, workshop and entertainment space. It is a great location with easy access from a main thoroughfare.
HOW THE SHOW WORKS

• Purchase Awards are solicited from individuals and businesses in advance of the show and are awarded during the opening reception on Friday evening.

• Each artist is given a display area within five large rooms of the Boys and Girls Club. A display coordinator works with each artist to help assure their satisfaction and an attractive overall presentation.

• Artists are responsible for providing their own portable displays, cases, props, etc. A limited number of easels are available upon request.

• All sales (cash, credit card and check) are processed through a central cashier’s table with a 30% commission on artwork sold. Artists are issued a check for sales and workshop expenses, if necessary, within a week of the show.

• As a non-profit organization we do not charge sales tax; any tax liability is the responsibility of the artist.

• All work for sale must be clearly priced with provided inventory labels. Volunteers conduct an inventory of each artist’s work at check-in and check-out to ensure accuracy of records.
