This survey has been designed by The Shetland Islands Council’s Economic Development Service, to help understand skills and learning barriers in both the private and public sector in Shetland.
For Shetland's economy to grow and generate new jobs, businesses need staff with appropriate skills. This survey is aimed at businesses within Shetland to determine what gaps and opportunities there are for staff to learn new skills and expand on those already developed. Your input will help us identify key employment issues affecting businesses in Shetland to highlight a more efficient and effective use of training resources already available and enable the development of potential new resources.
Please take approximately 15 minutes to complete this survey to give the SIC an indication on how and where we can focus on improving skills available in Shetland for local businesses. Please make sure you click through to the end to ensure your answers are recorded. The survey will be open until the 22nd of August 2012. The responses will be treated as confidential. Once the survey and analysis are complete, the results will be available, without the identification of any individual organisation.
If you have any queries about the survey, or if you’d prefer a paper copy, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Your participation is fundamental and very much appreciated.
