The purpose of this study is to determine how heterosexual and homosexual individuals' attitudes toward the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) community differ. Along with approximately 200 other participants, you will be completing a measure, answering questions about your experiences with the LGBTQ community, and a demographics questionnaire. This research will take aproximitly 30 minutes to complete. Participation in this research could lead to some benefits; you might learn something about yourself, as well as a new fact about someone else's identity. Likewise, participation in this research could lead to some minor risks, such as minor mental distress. A list of mental health providers is provided:

I agree to participate in the observational research conducted by Ashley Fischer. I understand that the Shepherd University Institutional Review Board has reviewed the proposed research and that to the best of their ability they have determined that the observations involve no invasion of my rights of privacy, nor do they incorporate any procedure or requirements, which may be found morally or ethically objectionable. If however, at any time I wish to terminate my participation in this study I have the right to do so without penalty.
I understand that my anonyminity will be maintained in analysis and reporting. All data will remain anonymous, and no person identifiable data will be collected. Only Ashley Fischer will have access to the data from this study.
I understand in signing this consent form, I give Ashley Fischer permission to present this work, both in written and oral form, without further permission from me.
