Thank you for your interest in Severna Park High School's Mock Interviews. Volunteers are needed to conduct 15 minute mock interviews and provide students with verbal and written feedback on both their resume and interview.

Volunteer for a shift or two, or stay the whole day!

New this year, we are establishing Career Conversations, an opportunity for students to talk to professionals about various careers while in the Media Center during their Mock Interview class period. This will enable students to gain insight on various careers and what is required to work in a particular profession.

As a volunteer for Career Conversations, you will be seated at your own table where you will be one of several professionals seated in a ‘resource/career fair’ type table format. Students will be able to drop by tables that interest them, talking to you about your career, how you got started, your typical day, etc. These will be informal talks that can last several minutes with 4-6 students and allow for questions throughout the conversation. Our goal is to enhance the Mock Interview experience for the student, focusing not only on resume writing and interviewing but career exploration and job readiness.

We will provide sample questions and an evaluation sheet for the Mock Interviews and a sample format to help guide the Career Conversations prior to the event. You can also access these forms on the BAB webside in advance at http://www.sphsbab.org/Mock_Interviews.html.
