* 6. Many trail users express an interest in trail clean up events, yet those events are rarely attended when scheduled. West Penn Trail Council seeks self-motivated volunteers who would like to handle specific tasks on their own time, after training. Please indicate if you are interested in any of the tasks below and be sure to provide contact information so that we may be in touch.

Mow and trim parking lots, benches on Conemaugh River Lake section; 6 hours, 1-2 times per year; council provides gas and equipment.

Chop and spray invasive Trees of Heaven on Saltsburg section; 4 hours, 2-3 times per year.

Social media support - share pictures and stories on WPT Facebook page.

Maintain and update information kiosks at WPT trailheads.

Develop an advertising program for WPT kiosk space.

Man tables of information at community events.

Help plan and implement special fund raising events.

Secure new mile marker sponsors for the trail maintenance fund.
