Energy Efficiency Finance Option Survey
Energy Efficiency Finance Option Survey
Overview:
The residential Energy Efficiency Finance Option (EEFO) program is an option being considered by Fort Collins Utilities (FCU). EEFO participants get an energy audit from FCU to identify home improvements that will save money on energy bills. Next, the homeowner or landlord approves improvements and contractors. The contractors do the work and FCU pays them. The project costs are repaid through a line item on the monthly utility bill that is always smaller than the monthly savings gained from the project. It is designed so the homeowner puts out zero dollars and sees an immediate savings on bills. There is no loan or credit check.
The survey is meant to gauge interest in an Energy Efficiency Finance Option so that Fort Collins Utilities and Fort Collins City Council can make an informed decision on the matter.
